O God, most powerful and compassionate, we praise and thank You for this year that we are concluding. Thank You for all the blessings, lessons, and encounters we had with You. As we begin a new one, we humbly ask You to be with us. Guide us to the path of renewal and becoming better persons. Bestow Your blessings upon us so that we may grow in holiness all the days of this new year. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
God our Father, I thank You for my husband, who is a great blessing in my life. He genuinely loves You and wants to do everything to obtain Your favor. I would like to express my love, respect, and honor for him once again today on his birthday. May I treat him right throughout his life. May I always do my best for him. God Almighty, as I say a bittersweet goodbye to my career of many years, I pray that You will give me comfort and wisdom. I know that nothing can replace the sweet successes of my job and the wonderful, inspiring people I’ve met along the way, but I hope that my retirement will be an opportunity to chase things that I truly love but did not have time for. Amen.
Lord God, I pray for Earth’s healing and restoration. Heal our planet from pollution and destruction. May humanity close its eyes to greed and material riches and open its eyes to natural wonders. Guide all of us as we learn to embrace eco-friendly and sustainable lifestyles. Be with all scientists, researchers, climate activists, and environmental advocates as they fight for a greener world free from global warming and destruction. May You save our planet and all the life and beauty it holds. Amen.
