Saint Ignatius of Loyola was a Spanish Basque Catholic priest and theologian who founded the Society of Jesus, also known as the Jesuits. He was born in 1491 and spent much of his early life as a soldier, serving in the Spanish army. As a soldier, he experienced a profound spiritual conversion that led him to devote his life to serving God.
Eternal Healer, my friend’s back is scarred from carrying heavy burdens. Heal their wounds, which have caused them great pain and suffering. Wipe away their worries, which have troubled them in their sleep. Grant my friend solace in their problems. May You shower them with strength, wisdom, and courage through this difficult time. Amen.
Lord, we pray for Your healing and comfort to surround all those on life support. We ask that You grant their families and loved one’s comfort and strength. Lead the medical staff attending to these patients and provide them with the knowledge and expertise to offer the best treatment. Heavenly Father, we offer prayers for everyone affected by Alzheimer’s disease. Be with them in times of uncertainty, worry, and anxiety. Grant them the mental and emotional strength they need to face each day with hope. Give strength and patience to their family and caregivers. Lord God, as I prepare for surgery, I humbly pray for Your loving care and protection. Please direct the hands of the medical staff performing the treatment and fill them with Your knowledge and compassion. I pray for a successful procedure and a quick and painless recovery. Heavenly Father, we pray for all affected by dementia. In this difficult journey, we pray that You grant them hope, comfort, peace, and strength.
