Prayer for success and prosperity in life

Success can mean something quite different for everyone. For some, success is finally reaching the top of the corporate ladder or launching a million-dollar business. For others, success is healing from a critical illness or getting perfect marks in school. Other people also define success as marrying someone they love most, having children after years of fruitless attempts, escaping from a toxic environment, or simply achieving self-confidence. 

No matter how differently we define success, the feeling is the same: a warm, exciting feeling that fills our hearts with warmth and happiness and fills our minds with creative ideas for future progress. However, there will be no harvest if there is no labor. There will be no fruits if the tree is not planted and diligently cared for, especially in its early days. 

Offering a prayer to the Lord will help clear any doubts, fears or anxiety that we may have.

Prayer for success

Lord Almighty,

I approach You with nothing but awe and reverence in my heart. You have been with me since I was just a plan, an idea, and yet it still amazes me that You have never left my side despite my disobedience and imperfections. You are the all-powerful King of kings, yet You still choose to spend Your time with a lowly sinner like me. You gaze upon me with love and adoration, gently teaching me what is right and what is wrong, showering me with countless blessings. Great is Your might, Lord God, but even greater than that is Your love for every single one of Your humble creations. 

Lord, I am stained with the impurity of sins. I have lied, I have hated, I have disobeyed, I have profaned, I have let myself succumb to earthly temptations, and I have wished ill upon others. But instead of shying away from Your omniscient gaze, I am choosing to step forward and confess my sins. The guilt I carry for these sins has stacked and become burdens on my back, Lord God, and now I lay them all before You. Cleanse me of sin and clothe me in righteousness. Let no evil thought enter my mind, heart, or mouth, and let my hands and feet do good works in Your Honor. 

God, I cannot express how grateful I am for Your presence in my life. I feel You in the sun that warms my face and the wind that ruffles my hair. Thank You for always watching over me and making Your presence be felt, especially in times when I need Your assurance. Lord, my life is as short as a blink of an eye, but I have many goals and dreams to pursue, and I know I would never be able to achieve them without Your help. Thank You for the little underappreciated victories in life that I often miss: starting my day despite exhaustion, smiling after a good cry, finishing my chores and tasks, checking off my daily goals and tasks, and more. Thank You for giving me the life I have come to enjoy and cherish.

As I offer You this prayer, I earnestly ask for Your instruction and guidance as I try to evaluate the paths I take and the decisions I make. I know that there will be hard days ahead, but give me the self-love to rest for a while and the strength to get up and carry on afterwards. May You give me more blessings to count and more victories to celebrate. And on top of all these, I hope that the person I become will never forget the person that started. I pray that the sweetness of each fruit that ripens from my hard work will remind me of the sweetness of Your love.

This is my humble prayer. Hear me, O Lord.

Short prayer for achieving goals

Dear God, 

You have been watching over me since the very beginning; now, I humbly call upon You through prayer for an abundance of blessings. Guide me on my journey to achieve the goals I have set for myself as long as they are according to Your will and plan for me. Shower me, my loved ones, and all hardworking people with blessings. May we all finally harvest the fruits of our labor.

Intercessory prayer to Saint Homobonus

Saint Homobonus, you are the one approached by countless dreamers in search of God’s guidance on their journeys. Like them, I now approach you through this humble prayer as I work to achieve my goals and fulfil my dreams. 

My humble prayer is only one of the millions that God hears every day. I am not special nor extraordinary, but it lightens my heart to know that He chooses to receive my prayers. Saint Homobonus, please join me in prayer. You have been ever faithful to Him, and I know that with You on my side, the earnest wishes of my heart will be delivered safely to His ear. May He hear the desires that my heart whispers, and may He deem them worthy to grant.

This is my simple request, an earnest prayer for achieving goals that comes from my heart.

Further reflection

No matter what stage we are in, in life, whether it’s currently just an idea in our head, or we’re stuck somewhere along the road to it, or perhaps if we’ve achieved it already, remember to thank God: for the inspiration that sparked it, the plan that gives us direction, the passion that fuels us to keep going, and the purpose that is finally served once we have reached our goal. 

Whenever we don’t know how to start our journey, get stuck at a step, or are tempted to give up along the way, don’t forget to seek God first and foremost. Take a few minutes every day to thank Him for every accomplished success and for every victory we have yet to celebrate. Remember to offer Him prayers, and He will shower us with victories far more than what we ever dreamed of.
